Just launched a new artist portfolio blog. Introducing the new KimBoggs.com.
Using Tumblr quite a lot lately. And this is a great example of why. Check out the infinite scrolling, full screen slideshow, and the tag collection links from the navigation.
Think of your portfolio and blog as one, add a contact form and pages, auto-post to facebook + twitter, and start posting over time.
Also a nice option, the Tumblr queue. If you have 14 posts in the queue, publish 2 each day between 3 and 5pm. Smart for weekly updates to the site.
Then, pick a day each week to update your site. During the week, activity will just be happening on your site as well as possible activity on facebook/twitter.
