Installing CakePHP with Composer

I really like how composer simplifies dependency management & installation. It can make applications more portable, and simpler to deploy when compared to the pear installer. Another really nice feature of composer is that you can easily install any pear package, making it perfect for installing CakePHP. While installation was simple, some extra work was required to get things up and running smoothly.

Using a simple yet flexible responsive layout for the site, with jquery goodness for nice fonts and useful custom fields within Textpattern to create custom post types such as ‘events’. BA21 is getting a redesign! Wait a few weeks and the website will reflect our new service packages designed specifically for a case such as Building Bridges, and including our new podcast package (both in-studio and on-sight) which can be combined to literally take the words out of your mouth and put them directly on your website. In full HD and mic’d with multiple mic’s. Our studio consists of a large black-velvet backdrop which provides an unparalleled contrast and color density profile when combined with 3-point lighting.
